Elsässertor | Building
An inviting space
that makes a statement
Characterised by the unmistakable architecture of Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron, ELSÄSSERTOR is an elongated building with a transparent façade.
Due to the different angles of inclination of the windowpanes to the north and south, the five-storey building looks like a polished crystal.
The glass shell, its sharp structural angles and the three atriums allow for natural light to flow into the interior and give the building transparency from the inside out.
